Sofie lovin her "brodur" with a little too much lovin.
She loves my shoes, she actually picked out a pair that matched her outfit.
I flew into Denver on Friday night and my good friend Elizabeth, who used to live here in Farmington now lives in Loveland, CO. picked me up and we went to dinner and caught up and I stayed at her house Friday night. This is her little boy Reese, he is so big now. He is 3.
My great friend Emily. Her and I were room mates at IWU and she did the half marathon. She was the star runner at IWU and she is still a natural. I stayed with her and her husband and their two boys on Saturday night and her and I got up nice and early on Sunday morning for the race. She kicked butt in the half, of course. And I dragged my butt across the finish line. 4:49:50. It was a hard race, lots of hills. A very long 26.2 miles But all my friends were there to cheer me at the finish. That was nice, this picture is of her and I after the race. This is what I looked like half dead. In case you were wondering. Two down (Albq. and Boulder) and one to go--now Chicago here I come-- in 3 weeks.
I then stayed at our friend's Bill and Jen Mell Sunday night after the marathon. They also live in Denver, lots of friends in that area. Bill ran the half also because he is training for NY marathon in November. Eric (Ry's best friend) was also there from Phoenix. (Ryan, Bill, Jen and Eric all went to high school together) We were all bummed that Ryan wasn't there but we had fun despite it and had a great visit. This is Bill and Jen's little girl Avery, she is a few months older than Sofie and so cute and funny.

Girrrrllll! That is awesome. Many Congratulations. And, your babies are so beautiful - we have the love them until it hurts policy here as well. In your honor, I am going to make time and sit on my butt for 4:49:50.
Cherie,You look AMAZING! Way to go on the racing! I'm not sure I'll ever do a full, but a half is in my future. Good for you! Thanks for the blog update- your kids are changing! So cute. And Ryan's cruiser? OH MY GOSH. My husband would die. Ours resembles more the first picture (with a body/windshield/top/etc.) Hope you guys are doing well! I'll have to keep up with the blog. :) Cheers!Rachel
